THE STORY

An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
 

THE MUSIC

Writer/Composer Jason Robert Brown won Drama Desk Awards for the music and the lyrics after the Off-Broadway premiere. The show has since been produced throughout the US and in countries around the world.

This award winning musical is staged "in-the-round" by the same team that brought "Driving Miss Daisy", "Broadway: Andrew Lloyd Webber" and "Disney's Mary Poppins" to life at the Capitol Theatre.   Featuring a live string ensemble and digital effects that will put you up close and personal as a New York love story is told in a unique way through a twist in storytelling and staging.

A variety-style Christmas themed musical and multimedia experience.  The show features the "Northumberland Belles" (a kick-line of dancers), the St. Mary's Choir, featured soloists and a lovely back story taking you through the memories of Christmas told by our host.  With wonderful dance numbers, beautiful costumes, stunning visual effects and Christmas songs old and new, the show is sure to delight the young and the young at heart.  With a special visit from a jolly elf we all know and love!   Just 3 performances before Christmas!

Produced by Antonio Sarmiento, this is an intimate evening of jazz and R'n'B music starring John Campbell, recently featured playing the role of Hoke in the Port Hope Festival Theatre production of "Driving Miss Daisy". The concert will also feature a performance by Kim Doolittle and will be presented in-the-round in the Sculthorpe Theatre at the Cameco Capitol Arts Centre. Cabaret style seating, general admission. Returning to Northumberland after a SOLD-OUT performance in 2012! Jeremy Hotz is a Canadian actor and stand-up comedian. He has appeared on Comedy Central Presents, the Just For Laughs comedy festival, the Late Show with David Letterman, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  He is recognizable by his characteristic of using his right hand to stifle his own laughter whenever he delivers a punch line, stands in an odd posture or complains about everyday situations.
