Opioid detox and integrated chronic pain program referral resource - Recovia
Mercy Care Plan and Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care are participating in a pilot program with Recovia, an Integrated Chronic Pain Program and Opioid Detox. This program is intended to be a referral resource for you for those members meeting the following inclusion/exclusion criteria:
Inclusion Criteria
Opiate therapy has been prescribed for more than 3 months or opioid dependency has been established;
Members aged 25 - 64;
MEDD exceeds 100 mg (for HNHC and Base Program only);
Chronic Pain related diagnoses with organicity established; and
Member is in contemplative state of change regarding pain management with a willingness to reduce medications
Exclusion Criteria:
Unstable Axis I or II diagnoses
Acute injury
As you well know, integrated care and functional medicine provide significant improved outcomes - particularly with the chronic pain population. Recovia aligns with these principles and offers a four-week intensive outpatient program that includes detox (medication management), behavioral health counseling, physical therapy, nutrition, yoga, therapeutic massage and acupuncture.

Recovia will screen patients and obtain authorization from Mercy Care Plan or Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care for members. Once patients complete their four-week intensive functional program, they will be transferred back to your care, hopefully with lower or eliminated MEDD as well as increased overall function and coping tools. Each member will return with a transition of care document outlining progress and recommendations moving forward.
The pilot is established and prepared to accept patients as of 7/1/2017. Please refer appropriate candidates you believe will benefit from detox or chronic pain management to the included contact information.

Mercy Care Plan and Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care are the primary payors for this pilot program, since the services for this program are not generally covered by other primary payors.
