MSU Child Development Center (On-Campus) 
Volunteers are needed at the Child Development Center from August 12-16 from 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm. Volunteers will be assisting teachers with the well being of children ages 8wks-5yrs old, reading books, and helping with playground supervision. Starkville High School Football Boosters
The Starkville High School Football Boosters Club needs volunteers to help staff the concession stands at Starkville High School football games on five Friday nights this fall: August 30, September 13, October 4, October 18, and November 8. Up to 20 volunteers are needed each Friday night. Volunteers will assist parents of football players in staffing the concession stand from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Volunteering organizations may hang a banner or sign on the stadium fence, and volunteering organizations will be recognized with PA announcements from the press box. MSU Statewide School (On-Campus, T.K. Martin Center)
The MSU Statewide School is a special education preschool program that consists of 3 classrooms that are housed at the TK Martin Center for Technology and Disability. They welcome multiple volunteers for a few hours daily, Monday-Thursday, during the hours of 8:00am-3:00pm. Tasks/activities required of the volunteers include assisting the teacher/teacher's assistant with various tasks, interacting with the children during educational activities, and assisting children with individual skills when appropriate. Volunteers will not be left alone with a child nor asked to toilet them. We Connect Now
We Connect Now is a nonprofit dedicated to uniting people interested in rights and issues affecting people with disabilities, with particular emphasis on college students and access to higher education and employment issues. We Connect Now is seeking bloggers to research, draft and post blogs on disability-related issues or issues of general interest to college students. Volunteer for Maroon Edition Habitat for Humanity

Volunteer shifts for the Maroon Edition Habitat for Humanity home are now open for Friday and Saturday from August 16-November 2nd. Service DAWGS Day

"Donate A Wonderful Gift of Service" and participate in over 20 service projects throughout the Starkville community. This year's Service DAWGS Day will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, in the Junction at 8:00 a.m. Make sure to register so you can get a(FREE) t-shirt. After the work is done we will celebrate with a (FREE) lunch where you can hang out and chill with your new pals (FREE). Emerson's Fresh Start Program

Fresh Start's focus is to improve the nutritional health and well-being of young children attending Emerson Preschool. Emerson Preschool is open year-round, and the project is on-going. We are seeking volunteers who are available and interested in consistently working with Emerson preschool children (infants through five years of age) on garden and health related activities from 9 to 11 AM on Friday mornings.

Starkville Community Market

Every Saturday, the Starkville Community Market sets up on the corner of Jackson and Lampkin Streets in downtown Starkville! We are in need of volunteers to help with setting up and taking down every Saturday. Volunteers will either be helping set up tents and getting the site ready for the market or will be helping take down tents and making sure the site gets picked up and everything gets stored for the next week.
