Energy Trust, in collaboration with Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE), Lewis & Clark's Green Energy Institute, and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), has created a solar soft cost survey to clarify what contributes to the cost of solar installations in Oregon. The information collected will help the Oregon solar industry by: clarifying what contributes to the cost of a solar installation; quantifying the real costs of inefficiencies in order to identify the entities with the power to address them; and making a persuasive case for more affordable and consistent requirements for permitting, interconnection and incentives. Survey questions ask about your installations and their associated costs in Q1 and Q2 for 2014. The survey should take 45-60 minutes  to complete. In order to be counted, please complete the survey by Friday, August 22nd - https://hbb.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_7VzGPM0tKPwNBmR

Five Oregon Projects Selected to Receive $10K Grants

Solar Oregon is part of the Northwest Solar Communities (NSC) which offered $10,000 mini-grants to non-profits and local governments in Washington and Oregon to increase the deployment of rooftop solar. Eligible projects include solarize bulk purchase campaigns or other innovative solar market expansion projects focused on increasing grid-tied solar electric systems within the applicant's community, and may include residential, small commercial, agricultural or community scale systems. Projects must be ready to launch in 2014 and be completed by the end of March 2015. However, these mini-grants cannot be used for actual solar system acquisition or installation. Read more here...
