Time Travel on State Street
With all of the buzz surrounding the future of Orem State Street, we thought it would be cool to see what State Street was like in the past.
This video shows State Street in 1947. You can see long-standing Orem institutions like the SCERA and City Hall. If you watch closely, at the 0:47 mark you will see a near auto wreck, thus proving that the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Driving down State Street in 1947

This video shows State Street in 1966. If you compare it to the 1947 video, you can see how much changed in just 19 years.

New City Logo for November
A city-wide design contest was held last month that challenged residents to create a Thanksgiving edition of the classic City of Orem logo.

Christina Marcano was voted the winner by the public. Her design (right) has been featured on the city website, publications, social media sites, and even on the City Council meeting agenda.
