Orthopedic ONE Physicians break ground on healthcare facility at Easton

Group aims to bring outpatient medical care to this accessible, retail environment

Easton has long been known as a leading retail destination, but it's also home to a new trend in healthcare delivery. In today's health environment, qualities like accessibility, convenience and continuity of care have become increasingly important.

A group of 19 physicians from Orthopedic One will break ground this month on a new healthcare facility at the entrance to Easton Town Center. This impressive 43,000 sq. ft., two-story facility will be located on three acres at the corner of Easton Way and Stelzer Road. Anticipated completion is around Spring of 2016.

Anchoring the project will be a new, physician-owned outpatient surgery center, with an emphasis on orthopedic and musculoskeletal procedures. This will be one of two surgery centers affiliated with the practice.

"This new building and surgery center will position us to meet increasing demand for outpatient orthopedic and musculoskeletal procedures, and do so in a convenient, concierge-level environment," says Joel Politi, MD, a physician with Orthopedic One. "As owners and surgeons, we can ensure quality throughout the entire care process, including surgery and rehabilitation."

The group is currently in final negotiations with tenants to lease a portion of the second floor for physical therapy and rehabilitation services. The remaining second floor space remains available for other physicians and healthcare tenants.

"We are very excited about this project, which follows recent trends of placing healthcare services and physicians closer to where patients live and work, increasing convenience and improving the overall experience," says Politi. "As physicians in private practice, it's important we continue to evolve to meet the needs of our patients. This is one example of that." The design of the building has focused on "non-institutional" healthcare delivery, which will create an extremely inviting patient-friendly experience.
