FALL LEAVES-2
Ossining Food Pantry Fall 2017 Update
As we head into the beginning of the holiday season, it is fitting that we take a moment to acknowledge the terrific work of our volunteers throughout the year. In rain, snow or shine, these wonderful volunteers donate their time each week so that food may be distributed to those in need. Equally important to fulfilling our mission are our loyal donors whose generous donations enable us to pay for the food we distribute. We thank you for your ongoing support and hope you will find the Fall 2017 newsletter of interest. Please forward this email to anyone who might like to learn more about our efforts to help feed the needy in the greater Ossining area.
2017 Celebration Event -- A Success!
Thank you to those who attended the 29th annual Celebration event. This year's event was held on September 17th at The Briarcliff Manor. Our guests enjoyed good food, music, wonderful weather with lots of raffle and silent auction prizes. Of course, this wonderful evening was dedicated to raising funds for the purchase of food for our clients. In 2018, we will celebrate the Food Pantry's 30th anniversary. Details to follow in the summer. Please plan to join us for this milestone anniversary.

Mobile Food Pantry Serves Ossining Community
The Mobile Pantry is a refrigerated delivery truck which allows us to provide healthy food options of fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products and meats directly to those in need. The Mobile Pantry sets up at Star of Bethlehem Church (304 Spring Street, Ossining) and distributes food two Wednesday afternoons each month.
Ossining Family Supports Food Pantry on Halloween
HALLOWEEN PINCUS
On Halloween night, the Pincus family of Ossining opened their home so brave visitors might experience the Pincus Carnival House, a spooky experience for young and old with games to entertain everyone. Visitors were asked to donate to the Ossining Food Pantry and, they were generous. Thanks to the Pincus family for your support!

Project Isaiah Food Drive - CSI
As a part of the Project Isaiah food drive, members of the Congregation Sons of Israel (CSI) collected non-perishable food items and donations during September/October. Thank you to CSI for your support!

Pachamama Farm at Maryknoll
For many years, the good folks from Maryknoll have been growing fresh, healthy produce for Ossining Food Pantry clients. This season, Maryknoll's Pachamama Farm donated approximately 200 pounds of fresh produce to our clients each week. That's over 3,000 pounds from June through October. Produce included swiss chard, lettuce, beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, spinach and radishes. We are thankful to the Brothers and Sisters of Maryknoll as well as to our volunteers for growing and delivering this healthy food to the Food Pantry.

Giving Tuesday is November 28, 2017
Giving Tuesday is only a few days away. Please consider the Ossining Food Pantry as you make your charitable donations. Also, please speak with your friends and family about remembering the Food Pantry on this year's Giving Tuesday. We need your support!
