♥You can't buy love, but you
can adopt it!♥

If you've been following HSSC's progress this past year, you know that we've been working hard to decrease our animals' Length of Stay - and our efforts are paying off. This means that pets are spending less time in the shelter and finding forever homes faster than ever!

Even with lower averages overall, we still have pets who have been waiting so patiently to find ideal matches. This Valentine's Day, we're sharing their "purr-sonal" ads. Some might prefer the single life - as in, they want to be your only dog or cat. Others believe that it takes two to tango and want to be adopted as a pair. But each one is so ready for a committed relationship!

HAPPY TAILS
A Mac-tastic Match!
Mac made a match! This sweet family was super excited to be able to adopt since they were the 2nd hold in line for him. Olivia the daughter is really into animals and took the time with her mom to research Border Collies. She learned that they are very intelligent, and need a lot of training and activities. She plans on walking him every day, offering him puzzle toys and playing fetch. Happy Trails Mac!!!

There's something about Roko
A couple came in looking to adopt a cat. They'd had several cats before and currently have one sweet older one. They spotted Roko and just had to meet him. The handsome 19-pounder held nothing back. He was rolling around asking for belly rubs right away. They had a good feeling about things but wanted to talk it over, so they put him on hold. They came back later that afternoon to bring him home. By that time, Roko had dazzled a few more visitors and even had a back-up hold! Another interested party was asking about him right as Roko's adopters were finishing up the paperwork. Clearly, Roko was "on a roll"!

Lucky Lady!
The youngest member of the Cavey family had been wanting a guinea pig for a companion. For weeks she did research online to make sure she and her family were prepared. They took a look on our website and saw a posting for darling little Lady. They came in to meet her and were surprised at how quickly they fell in love with her. They had come in just to scope things out, but they quickly realized that they couldn't leave without her. They bought some supplies, signed the paperwork and whisked Lady to her new home. Happy trails, Lady!
