NEW CLASS! Starting March 17th Rabbi Stampfer will be offering a ten-week course on Oregon Jewish History based on the recently published book Embracing a Western Identity: Jewish Oregonians, 1849-1950 by Professor Ellen Eisenberg.The course will begin on March 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM in room 102. The tuition will be $100 for the course which will cover the cost of the text that will be provided for every student. "Jews in God's World: What are our Environmental Responsibilities?" , Tonight, February 10th, 7:00pm, Stampfer Chapel.
With guest speakers Rabbi Kosak, Jordan Epstein, chair of CNS Shomrei Teva, and Jenny Holmes, coordinator of Oregon Interfaith Global Warming Campaign, Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon. We will look at how our texts direct us to care for the earth, what we have and are doing at CNS to support the environment, what we as individuals can do to make a difference, and how we can link with the Interfaith Climate Movement to move forward and become involved. Havdalah in Pajamas with Rabbi Posen, Saturday, February 13, 5:30pm  Join Young families at Congregation Neveh Shalom for a fun night in pajamas! Mazel tov to Jan Freeman-Bauer and Larry Bauer on the birth of their new granddaughter, Scarlett Elizabeth, to son their son Brandon Bauer and Nicole Veith. Great grandparents are Lewis and Ruth Freeman z'l. Scarlett was born December 7 and joins her proud older sister, Audrey.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS
It's Time for Camp... Camp Solomon Schechter, Neveh Shalom Camper Incentives and Scholarship Funds! We want kids to go to camp! There are three scholarship opportunities for campers and their families - Application deadline March 4, 2016:
  • Thanks to the generosity of the Kahn family, first-time campers from Neveh Shalom are eligible for $180 off their first summer's tuition.  Apply directly through CSS at  [email protected]  to apply for the CNS Judith and Garry Kahn Camp Fund.
  • Neveh Shalom offers need-based scholarships to members who attend Camp Solomon Schechter. All returning and first-time campers are eligible to apply. First-time campership recipients may combine funds with CNS scholarships. The deadline for applying for assistance from Congregation Neveh Shalom is March 4, 2016 Download scholarship forms here. 
One Happy Camper campership scholarships available for ANY Jewish overnight camp:
