Sunday, February 8th at 9:45, Board Room -  Neveh Knits and Crochets - Beginners and all skill levels are invited to join in. You can learn to knit or crochet, bring and work on your own project, or choose a project for charity knitting - for neonatal units at hospitals, simple warm items for the homeless, or  purple newborn baby hats to promote awareness of how to patiently comfort babies during crying periods.   


Wednesday, February 11, Interfaith Advocacy Day - "Raising diverse voices of faith to strengthen Oregon communities" -People of faith from across the state of Oregon gather in Salem to collectively raise their voices to members of the legislature. Havdalah in Pajamas, Feb 14, 5:30pm - Join our young families for a fun night in pajamas!  Enjoy a kid friendly dinner, Havdalah, crafts and a milk and cookie story time. What wacky pajamas will Rabbi Eve wear? Find your favorite footies (adults too!) and get ready for the perfect family night with wee ones. LIFELONG LEARNING
Hope and Healing, Sundays through Feb 22 (no class on Feb 15), 10:45am, room 102 - Join Rabbi Eve Posen for a journey through the lifecycle looking at rituals and prayers that accompany each stage of life. This class will be informative and a place to engage in deep and meaningful conversations on hope and healing in all ages and stages of our lives.

Camp Solomon Schechter and Neveh Shalom Camper Incentive Scholarship deadlines are March 1st!

There are three scholarship opportunities for campers and their families:

  • First-time campers from Neveh Shalom are eligible for $180 off their first summer's tuition.  Apply directly through CSS at info@campschechter.org  to apply for the CNS Judith and Garry Kahn Camp Fund. 
  • Neveh Shalom offers need-based scholarships to members who attend Camp Solomon Schechter. All returning and first-time campers are eligible to apply. First-time campership recipients may combine funds with CNS scholarships. Download scholarship forms here.
  • First-time campers from the Greater Portland area who are attending Aleph Rishon, Bet or Gimmel at CSS are eligible for a One Happy Camper (OHC) campership of up to $1,000, and there are even some available for Jewish day school families!  OHC is funded for Portland-area families by the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland in partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camp.
