This summer I'm writing a new book about a year in the life of two elementary schools - one public, one charter. It's going to be about the state of school choice and, by extension, the state of public education as it is, and as it ought to be.

The book won't come out until the fall of 2013, but I want to share a draft of the introduction for some real-time feedback. If you're willing, let me know what you like, what you dislike, and what a book like this absolutely must (and must not) include for you to read it cover to cover.
