A WORD FROM OUR PRESIDENT

In an interview done by the Orlando Business Journal, I was asked about our Chamber's secret to success. Engagement and relationships are the HCCMO's secret ingredients to our accomplishments. We are in a relationship economy, therefore the w ork that we do day-in and day-out revolves around the interactions and success of our members. Our work remains the same, but the way we go about blending engagement in our relationships, with our members and business community, is what makes our secret truly innovative. I invite you to join us in building meaningful and result driven business relationships by engaging in our Chamber. If you have already RSVP'd I hope to see you  this evening at our first Joint Leads Groups Event of the year, taking place today at 5:30 pm at the National Entrepreneur Center.

The HCCMO Leads Groups is one of the Chambers strongest program. These are industry exclusive groups that offer each other the opportunity to engage and promote their business in a non-competitive environment. At today's event, members and attendees will learn about the Leads Groups Program and the installment of the Lead Groups of the Quarter Award, which will recognize one of the groups that has excelled in their performance and revenue sharing.
Speaking of engagement, as a nonpartisan Chamber, we do not endorse candidates, but we will stand on the side of the issues that are pro-business. During the past few weeks we have sent out a survey for you to complete. We have not had much luck in getting you to respond. This is very important, as we want to be your voice. Please get engaged and let us know what is important to you and what are your legislative priorities. Follow this (Link) to a short 4 question survey. While we cannot be all things to all people, we want to make every effort to join your plight and to be the leading voice for the business community.

Another great opportunity to build relationships and be engaged is our upcoming 2016 Hispanic Business Conference & Expo (HBC&E) taking place June 2-4 at the Orange County Center, North Concourse. The HBC&E educates, motivates, and builds business opportunities for entrepreneurs, leaders and business professionals. This year the HBC&E offers a 3-day experience with a business-driven packed agenda. Click the video to get a glimpse on the HBC&E.

Engaging Employees:
In recent years, the mantra to being a successful company is "employee engagement"... Every company wants employees who are enthusiastic and want to come to work every day. But how does that work? How do we engage employees?
