It is Spring Time - and at Sew Central th at means it is time for our Annual Tent Sale.  Be sure to come by the store Friday, April 28th through Sunday, April 30th.  Weather permitting, we will have the tents outside - but either way, the sale will be on, inside and out.  Look for our clearance pricing on fabrics, notions, previously-loved machines.

Mark your calendars now for May 13th.  You won't want to miss the History and Making of Fabric presentation.  It will be the most informative Saturday morning you'll have had in a long time!  And there will be free fabric and patterns for all attendees along with even more fabric give-aways all courtesy of Quilting Treasures!
 
Have you seen our Embroidery Block of the Month club?  We meet the third Thursday of each month and are featuring designs by Anna's Awesome Applique Designs.  You can see most of the blocks now hanging in our store.  Make a wall hanging, or combine to make a quilt!

Attention all Sew Central Machine Embroiderers!  Sew Central presents our new KimberBell Embroidery Projects Series.  Great, fun ways to sharpen your (or learn new) embroidery skills!

Each month a new machine embroidery project will be taught and you will be delighted with how quick and easy each of these projects are!  No project uses a hoop larger than a 5" x 7".  You will bring a few simple basic supplies and Sew Central will provide the scraps for your projects  How easy is that!

In April, we are going to get you ready for Mother's Day with an adorable Whimsy Flower Cinch Bag perfect for that someone's special gift.  Or you can get a head start with Halloween and Christmas packaging!  This project will teach you how to use puffy foam in your embroidery.

This is a Sew Central exclusive pattern designed by out very own Nancy!  The tote bag is large enough to hold an 18"X 24" cutting mat, rulers up to 24" long, and supplies needed for your projects.  Side zippers make it easy to load and unload and the inside pockets keep your supplies secure.  The bag gets its form from the foam product, Soft and Stable.  

Bring your cutting mat to class or measure the mat edge to edge and bring the dimensions to class so the tote can be fine

New Series Starts

Need to learn to sew all over again or start from the beginning? Sew Central's Adult Sewing 101 is a structured class series where students learn proper sewing techniques that can be applied to all sewing projects.  Students will complete two projects:  Pajama bottoms and a gored skirt.

During the first class, students will learn about fabrics, patterns, and tools of the trade.  During the second, third and fourth classes, students will make pajama bottoms and a gored skirt.

History of Fabric Presentation by Quilting Treasures

Come see Mike Flynn from Quilting Treasures fabric give a presentation on the History and Making of Fabric.  Quilting Treasures is America's oldest fabric company (since 1807) and Mike is an expert on fabrics.  You will learn a little history, and a lot about fabric.

Kids Sewing Class

Every Tuesday and Wednesday Afternoons

Every Tuesday and Wednesday after school, kids get together for sewing lessons with Ms. Jane or Ms. Nancy.  Tuesdays are normally for beginners, and Wednesday for the more advanced sewing enthusiasts.  Join the fun!
