April is National Volunteer Month.  Here in the DU Weekly, and on our Facebook page, we’ll be highlighting some of our members and volunteer teams who give time and heart in serving our church community.  This week we are featuring two all-star volunteers in Adult Ministries, Jose Alves and Mike Stanton. They generously donate their gifts, talents and time to leading Sunday morning class offerings for adults at First Church.

We hold Kathryn Warren's mother Donna Hamilton in our prayers as she grapples with a recent diagnosis and begins chemotherapy.

Our thoughts and prayers are also with Bob Stracko, who was hospitalized this week and is recovering from a stroke, and with Billy McDonald, who has entered hospice.

A memorial for Tom Crow will be held in the Sanctuary at 4pm on Sunday, after a viewing at 2:30pm in Raible. We keep Ed Westmeyer in our hearts as he prepares for a medical procedure Monday.
