Inspiring Jewish youth to give of themselves.. .

January 2016
Dear Friends,

We may not have won the Powerball, but at Areyvut we still feel like winners.  That's because we have the following lucky numbers:

             22 - 304 - 500 - 1,451 - 1

22:   Areyvut's  A Kindness a Day  calendar has been distributed to 22 states across America. (Not to mention Israel and Canada as well!) The calendar offers 366 suggestions on how to incorporate the values of chesed, tzedakah  and  tikkun olam  into one's daily life. From Arizona to Kentucky, people throughout the country are getting inspired! To see the calendar that's taking the country by storm,  click here.

304:   Areyvut has worked with thousands of children, teenagers, parents, rabbis, educators and community leaders to improve the world through kindness. Areyvut currently has 304 program partners in our database and we look forward to partnering with many more! Check them out here.

500: In the mood to clown around? Areyvut has trained 500+ Mitzvah Clowns who pay monthly visits to senior citizens, children with special needs and those in need of a friendly visit. Each clown learns how to create balloon animals, apply clown make up and interact with those who are different from them.

1,451: Tweet, tweet! Our social media platforms not only inform our audience about our events and programs, but engage others in talking about acts of kindness. With 1,451 Twitter followers, we connect, share and interact with others on a daily basis. You can learn more about Areyvut on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedInInstagram and YouTube

1 - All of Areyvut's programs, connections, events and tweets share the same purpose: To create 1 unified Jewish community. We believe that by engaging with Jewish youth on a regular basis and teaching about kindness, charity and social action, they will become thoughtful, giving members of the Jewish community of tomorrow.

About Areyvut
Areyvut's mission is to infuse the lives of Jewish youth and teens with the core Jewish values of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (charity), and tikkun olam (social action), so that they become thoughtful, giving members of the Jewish community of tomorrow.

We offer day schools, congregational schools, synagogues, community centers and individual families with a variety of opportunities to help them make these core values real and meaningful to their children.
