ADVENT IZ ZAGREB

"Enter into your victory... freedom is waiting, just take a step of faith!"

The strains of Croatian worship music swept through the main square of Zagreb as people sauntered by enjoying the beauty of Zagreb's Christmas fair set up in the center of town. People would stop and listen to a song or two and move on... Our worship band, Bez kompromisa, (No Compromise) played for the 11th year in a row at Advent in Zagreb. It truly is a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ with the community and proclaim the true reason for celebrating the season.

SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS

However, as the saying goes, "time flies when you're having fun" (or at least when the kids are having fun), and that is exactly the way the holiday season flew by! It seemed that no sooner had Bez kompromisa played on the square on St. Nicholas Day, when the day before Christmas Eve arrived. We had planned a fun Saturday morning cartoon time for children. We showed CBN's Super Book Christmas episode and Gizmo made a special appearance. Each child got to take his picture with Gizmo and was given a small gift bag before leaving. It was a magical time for the kids and another a great opportunity to share the love of Christ with others.

CHRISTMAS EVE

For Christmas Eve we had a special service planned, but with it being a holiday did not expect more than a third of the church to attend. However, we were pleasantly surprised when the auditorium was so packed out that we had to add chairs from the café! It was a wonderful service and beautiful way to end a very full and blessed year.

2018

We have a week of fasting and prayer coming up at the end of this month. As always, we feel it so necessary to come together as a body and seek God for his will, Spirit, and guidance in the new year.

Bonnie and the kids go back to school on Monday. It has been a wonderful Christmas break, but we are looking forward to getting back into our normal weekly schedule.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support- for helping us make 2017 a year of change. We pray that in 2018 each and every one of us experiences God, walks in his will, and moves forward in his Spirit.
