Over 100 Horses Set to Compete at The 2017 Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day Event
Dressage Begins Tomorrow for USEF Eventing National Championships and USEA Young Event Horse East Coast Championships

Competitors dressed to impress this afternoon at the first horse inspection for the 2017 Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day Event. This iconic event in Fair Hill, Maryland, attracts top horse and rider pairs to go head to head for their chance at USEF CCI*** and CCI** Eventing National Championship titles
and $50,000 in prize money.

In the CCI***, all thirty-six horses presented were accepted
by the Ground Jury. Two
horses in this division were held: Buck Davidson's mount Carlevo and Sara Moore's mount Polaris. Both were accepted upon representation.
All sixty-one CCI** horses presented were approved to compete, with one entry, Robert Waylon's mount Born Ready, held but accepted when represented.
Fair Hill International also welcomes back the USEA Young Event Horse (YEH) East Coast Championships, which showcases a quality field of 4- and 5-year-old horses to be evaluated for their ability to be successful at the upper levels of eventing.

The first phase of competition begins Thursday, October 12 with dressage for the CCI** and YEH Championships. Dressage continues on Friday, October 13 with the CCI*** dressage, while the young event horses perform a jumping evaluation to conclude their Championship. Cross country begins Saturday, October 14, and the show jumping finale will be held on Sunday, October 15.
The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International three-day event is currently awaiting approval by the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI), as the new CCI**** event to join the Kentucky Three-Day Event as the only two CCI**** events in the Western Hemisphere and just the seventh CCI**** on the FEI global calendar.
Fair Hill International has expanded its hospitality to provide an opportunity for all to indulge in their favorite foods, drinks and shopping needs. Tailgating during Saturday's cross-country competition is available for those wishing to enjoy the up-close thrill of watching world-class horses and riders gallop by as they contest the CCI*** and CCI** courses set by 2020 Tokyo Olympic course designer Derek di Grazia.
The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International three-day event truly has something for everyone. Gore Running Wear® invites all to participate in the inaugural Gore Running Wear® 5K race and enjoy the Craft Beer and Sports Expo on Saturday, October 14. Spectators can also enjoy numerous demonstrations ranging from dog agility and pony drill teams, face painting located in the Kids Corner, fantastic food options, and shopping in numerous country and equestrian vendor shops.
Admission
Admission is FREE on Thursday, October 12 (Dressage phase, day one of competition).
General admission tickets for Friday, October 13 are available at the gate for $10. General admission tickets on Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15 are available at the gate for $15 per person.
Children under 12 are admitted free of charge, as are 4-H and FFA members (with ID), Pony Club members (with pin), and military members and their dependents (with ID). Seniors 65 years and older are admitted at a discount price of $5 per person.
