Bilingual Parent Institute is April 6, 2018 in San Antonio

This annual institute offers families, school district personnel and community groups from across Texas the opportunity to network, obtain resources and information, and receive training and bilingual materials on IDRA’s nationally-recognized research-based model for parent leadership in education.
UTSA Criminal Justice Summer Camp 2018 for Rising Juniors and Seniors-Application Deadline is May 15th

Experience a different kind of summer camp...
Participants will have the opportunity to investigate mock crime scenes, examine fingerprints, and tour local law enforcement facilities.
March is Women's History Month
Women's History Month events will take place at many locations across the city during the month of March. Learn more.
Visit the UTSA Institute for Texan Cultures During Spring Break - March 12th-16th, 10 AM-2 PM
During Spring Break 2018, the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures will open the buildings of the Back 40 outdoor learning area. Each day features one of the 1800s Frontier-era buildings, plus the barn and one-room schoolhouse. Children and families will be able to explore the role of children on the Frontier as they participate in chores, games and other activities.
San Antonio Youth Commission is Accepting Applications for 2017-2018 School Year

The City of San Antonio launched the San Antonio Youth Commission on July 25, 1991 as an opportunity for youth and a vehicle to respond to the current situations that affect young people.

The San Antonio Youth Commission is made up of 22 high school youth leaders, two members from each City Council District and two Mayoral appointees.

Cafe College Offers Upgrade Program for Working Adults

The Upgrade program is focused on supporting adults who have some college credit and have not yet finished a degree or certificate. If you are an adult with some college credits and you want to go back to school to finish your degree, Upgrade’s advisors can help you find the right college and program, explore career options, and understand the financial aid process.  
Khan Academy is a Free Online Learning Resource for All Ages

Here is a free resource that you need to learn more about.. ""Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps."
