Don't miss A Taste of Folklife on May 3rd and register your friends and family for the annual P-20 Summit on Parent Engagement being held on May 12th with Dr. Mike Flores as our special guest.

A Taste of Folklife is May3rd @ 5:30 PM-8:30 PM (Rain or Shine)

The University of Texas at San Antonio, in conjunction with SA300, will present, “Historic Futures – A Taste of Folklife" on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018, 5:30 to 8:30pm, in the Paseo at the UTSA Main Campus (in case of rain, event will move to Convocation Center). Join us as we celebrate San Antonio's Founder’s Day and showcase our diversity and rich heritage through a wide variety of food, music, dance, and a fireworks show at dusk.

Summer Food Service Program Helps Children Stay Active, Healthy

Summer meal sites offer nutritious meals at no cost for children 18 years old and younger.
Use these three tools from June 1-August 30 to find a summer meal site in Texas:

Girls Rockit Into The Future Science Festival is May 5th

Empower girls to take a look at their future in STEM! Community allies, educational institutions, and corporate partners come together for this FREE event for families around the Alamo City. This day full of hands-on, minds-on activities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math introduces girls to opportunities in STEM.
President's Education Awards Program
Founded in 1983, the President's Education Awards Program (PEAP) honors graduating elementary, middle and high school students for their achievement and hard work. The program has provided individual recognition from the President and the U.S. Secretary of Education to those students whose outstanding efforts have enabled them to meet challenging standards of excellence. Each year, thousands of elementary, middle, and high schools participate by recognizing deserving students
San Antonio College Women Empowered Conference Friday, May18th
FREE and open to the community!

Offering over $20,000 in scholarships to attend San Antonio College fall 2018.
Scholarships will be awarded at the end of the conference. (must be present for entire conference 9am to 2pm)

Scholarship deadline is Monday, May 7th.
