August, 2016
Dear PACC Members and Friends,
As many of us look forward to relaxing and savoring the best of Chicago and its people by cruising along the Chicago River and the shores of Lake Michigan this Sunday, it seems like the best of summer is yet to come... We have had great interest in this year's Boat Outing, and as of today, the event is
SOLD OUT! We thank all those who reserved tickets and provided sponsorship.
Otherwise, this year's seasonal highlights thus far have certainly included the July 9-10 food, fun, and fellowship at the annual Gulyas Fest.
On July 21, we had an engaging and lively meeting with Major John Aren of the Salvation Army and author and sustainability advocate Wanda Urbanska. And we enjoyed reconnecting with both as the Salvation Army Lincoln Park Family Store marked its third anniversary!
The July 27 Parade of Sail and Welcome Reception were excellent as part of Chicago Navy Pier's Centennial Celebration.
On July 28, we had a fantastic expedition through the world of tea while networking at the Linoln Park store of TeaGschwendner. We thank again Agnieszka Rapacz and her team for their hospitality and sponsorship of the event.
