Presents PACE MONTH Proclamation

DHHS Secretary Rick Brajer presented the Governor's official proclamation of September as PACE MONTH to the Association's Executive Director, Linda Shaw (above) at PACE of the Triad on Sept. 12th. Ursula Robinson, Executive Director, PACE of the Triad, welcomed guests to the event, which included remarks by Secretary Brajer, a live premiere of the Association's new video, a tour of the center and lunch (bottom left). DHHS Deputy Secretary for Medical Assistance Dave Richard, NC Senator Gladys Robinson and US Congressman Mark Walker were among those who mingled with participants, caregivers, board members, staff and local officials (bottom right). 
Durham Recognizes PACE MONTH
Senior CommUnity Care of North Carolina, which serves Durham and Wake counties, welcomed Durham Mayor Bill Bell to the center in honor of PACE MONTH. With the participants gathered in the day room, Executive Director Karen Oldham and Marketing Manager Kimberley Ladue shared the proclamation before giving Mayor Bell a tour of the center. At right, Mayor Bell greets constituents and program participants.
Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust Welcomes Dr. Laura Gerald; Association Expresses Thanks
Dr. Laura Gerald has been travelling the state in a series of community events introducing her as the new President of Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust.  In recognition of PACE MONTH, Linda Shaw had an opportunity to present an award to the Trust and thank them for their support of PACE in North Carolina.
