JULY 2018
In July we often set aside time for vacations or trips to the beach, but even though the weather is sure to be beautiful, at PALS Animal Life Savers our focus continues to be on the loving felines in need of happy homes. Our newsletter this month features updates from the Pride Festival and our 30/30 event , a happy ending story , our available cats and information on becoming a foster parent for our cats in need of a temporary home. Don't forget to check out our booth at the upcoming Salem Farmers' Market!
PALS will be at the Salem Farmers' Market on Thursday July 19th , from 3PM to 7PM . Grab some delicious treats from the amazing vendors at the market and then come on over to PALS to say hello and check out our PALS themed merchandise, pet blankets, cat toys and other goodies, while learning more about our organization!

The Salem Farmers' Market is located at Derby Square on Front Street in Salem, MA. For more information on the Farmers' Market visit their website at www.salemfarmersmarket.org.

At PALS we pride ourselves on finding happy homes for our lovable rescues. This month's Happy Ending Story belongs to Pollyanna .

Pollyanna found her forever home in the caring arms of Shelley, a lifetime cat lover and first time PALS adopter. Shelley first came around to the idea of adopting another kitten when a veterinarian friend sent her a picture of Pollyanna (formerly Pookie) with her siblings who were all looking for homes.

Only a few months after adopting Pollyanna, Shelley lost one of her older feline companions, but Shelley said that Pollyanna lovingly stepped right in when she needed her the most. Pollyanna joins two 15-year-old tabbies, who have kindly welcomed her into their space and happily tolerate the almost 1-year-old kitten's active behavior.

Congrats to all--another Happy Ending!

Are you in the market for a new feline addition to your family? Then look no further than PALS Animal Life Savers for a loving companion that is sure to warm your heart.

Chip (pictured right) is a high-spirited 2-year-old boy that came to us after he and several of his housemates became homeless. Chip is very smart and curious. Having lived with other felines in the past, we believe that he could be integrated with another cat in his new home.

However due to his high-spirited nature, we feel Chip would do better in a home without young children.

For additional available cats, please visit our website .
Do you have a home with extra space for some fabulous felines? Are you willing to open your heart and home to a cat in need?

If you answered "yes" to both of these questions, then perhaps becoming a foster parent for PALS Animal Life Savers is the right decision for you! PALS has an immediate need for foster homes. It is a rewarding experience and you can make a huge difference in the life of a cat.

If you're interested in working with PALS as a foster parent, please complete our foster application (here) or contact our Volunteer Coordinator for more information at sandy@palscats.org.
On June 23rd, PALS Animal Life Savers attended Salem's 7th Annual Pride Festival at the Salem Common. We had non-stop visitors all day, including many friends and past adopters. Thanks to our generous donators, sales of our PALS related merchandise and raffle, we were able to bring in over $500 to go towards caring for our cats.

Thank you to all who came out in the gloomy weather to share in this festival with us! Your donations make it possible to continue finding homes for many deserving cats.

And a huge thank you to all our volunteers who made this event possible--we couldn't do it without you!
June is Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat month and to promote PALS Animal Life Savers we held our annual 30/30 event, which helps to raise money for our cats in need.

During the 30/30 event, we set a goal of encouraging 30 people to donate $30 throughout the month of June, as well as a goal of receiving happy ending stories from 30 of our PALS alumni. We are thrilled to report that we reached our goal for the third year in a row. Thank you to all who donated and/or participated this year!
