Individuals interested in presenting at the 2014 PATH Intl. Conference October 29 - November 1 in San Diego, CA, are invited to submit a completed abstract submission form to PATH Intl. Abstract submission will be handled electronically only. 

 

Abstract submission opens January 15, 2014, so watch for the special announcement in your email.

PATH Intl. is proud to grant one Riders Assistance Fund Scholarship to a child equestrian at a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center in 2014. The application can be found on the website under "My Center Benefits" (you must be logged in) or click here to download. All applications are due by February 25, 2014. Questions? Call for Research Proposals From HHRF
Horses and Humans Research Foundation (HHRF) announces an open call for proposals of research to investigate the therapeutic effects of equine-assisted activities (EEA) on military veterans experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or traumatic brain injury (TBI). This is the second call for proposals designated for veterans research, made possible by the Caisson Platoon Equine Assisted Programs, who provided seed funding. Deadline for submission of proposals is May 15, 2014. Click here to learn more.

Don't Let Your PATH Intl. Center Membership Lapse

The deadline to renew your center was December 31, 2013. Renew as soon as possible in order to avoid a lapse in your center membership. If your renewal is postmarked after January 15, 2014, you must include a $50 late fee with your renewal

If you need to update the primary contact for your center, please send in a center change notification form or a premier accredited center change notification form.

Of course, if you prefer to send in a hard copy renewal, that is still an option. Download and complete the center renewal booklet and renewal invoice, and mail it in.

Horses in Stressful Situations

In order to understand stress in our horse, we need to look at how horses would live naturally without human interference. They would live in a herd, eating little and often as they grazed on pasture. We would see them using fight or flight as a means of protection against predators.

When we change this environment in any way that restricts their freedom or diet, we create stress. Read more 
Scholarship Opportunity for PATH Intl. Instructor Candidates
logo PATH Intl. will continue an innovative partnership with the American Paint Horse Foundation designed to help train therapeutic riding instructors. This alliance provides scholarship assistance to potential PATH Intl. instructors.
