Judge has granted a 90-day stay of demolition for the Bethlehem Steel Administration Building
Preservation Buffalo Niagara is very happy that the Court has granted
a 90 day extension for the demolition order of the Bethlehem Steel Administration Building.  PBN sent a request to the Court asking for this extension as part of our on-going effort to enable preservation of this important community landmark.

We have participated in public forums explaining the value of Certified Local Government status for the City of Lackawanna so that they can receive public assistance in the preservation of this building and other historic sites in the community.  PBN has appreciated the opportunity to work with dedicated grass roots advocates, including the Lackawanna Industrial Heritage Group, as the community works to express support for the project.  Additionally we have linked the New York State Historic Preservation Office (NY SHPO) staff to the owner and local groups and officials in an effort to find the best path to preserving the building, including the use of Historic Preservation Tax Credits.

Preservation Buffalo Niagara is dedicated to empowering local communities in the region so that they may work toward preserving their valuable historic resources.
