Ponca City's only "Not really news", but definitely something economic, PCDA Weekly Update.
GOING FROM B TO C......The "C" is for Cookshack. You may have heard the news that Cookshack is moving to a new building. Here at PCDA we may know things in advance, but we never speak for our companies. However, Cookshack posted on their Facebook page Wednesday about the move to a new building in the AIP (that's Airport Industrial Park for you new readers). Well, that is the PCDA BOB building (the B in this equation). Thoroughly confused? Well, don't be. Cookshack. New bigger building. Industry growth in Ponca City. Just a few buzz words for this week. PCDA continues to work projects here in Ponca City (shhhhh) and next week, staff will be attending the Solar Show in sunny Nevada for a hot time. September marks the time of year for call trips (recruiting trips to other states), the fall round of trade shows (such as the Solar Show) and assisting our industries with their "to do" lists before the holidays. Stay tuned for further updates.
Congratulations to Cookshack! New transformer going in at their building.
TRUCK SPOTTING.......
As staff was stalking, er, doing their job and visiting companies, they noticed that another one of our AIP companies may be making some capital investments. They got themselves a big truck.
WALKTOBER IS AROUND THE CORNER ......
The flyer says it all. Walktober is around the corner, so grab your four team mates (multiple teams per location are allowed) and get signed up. The website is up and running so use the link attached to the flyer, scan the QR code or just head over to
The Kay County Health Department Website and get your team signed up. And remember, Walktober is a friendly competition; a way to get those daily steps up to and beyond 10,000. Just because the librarians have been cross-training and working on their step monitoring for the last three months should not affect your team in the least. Get your team signed up now for Walktober.
