She is the author of UGLY FISH and OTTO: The Boy Who Loved Cars and NO SLURPING, NO BURPING! A Tale of Table Manners, The Infamous Ratsos, The Unintentional Adventures of the Bland Sisters and many more.
Ms. LaReau will be visiting Stillmeadow at the conclusion of our week-long Reading Olympics.

Coding With Kids - Game Development
Game Development class will begin THIS Tuesday, Feb 13th after school.

The 5th Grade fundraiser and social event is Friday, March 9th
Here's what you need to know:
- Doors open at 6:00 pm; Games begin at 6:30 pm
- Location: Stillmeadow Cafeteria
- Cost: $10 per person
- Cash Prizes for Bingo Winners!
- Great Raffle and Silent Auction Prizes
- Bring your own card markers or we will have stampers for sale
- Flyers are coming home in folders next week, or print out here
- Space is limited to 300
- Proceeds will support the Fifth Grade class trip to see a Broadway show!

Gertrude Hawk Chocolates Sale
The Gertrude Hawk Chocolates Sale fundraiser is going on now. The
Spring Catalog
features Easter Basket essentials, gourmet specialties, snack tins, and the popular "Teenie Poppers" and "Smidgens" chocolates.
Many items are $10 or less. All chocolate products are Kosher Star D certified unless otherwise noted.
Here is some important information about this program:
- Paper order forms with payment (cash or check only) must be returned to your child's teacher by Friday, February 23.
- Click here to set up an online sales account. Stillmeadow's online group code is 727398. Make sure the seller's name matches exactly on the paper order form and online accounts.
- Online sales deadline is Sunday, March 25. Shipping fees will be added to online orders placed after February 23.
- Catalog orders and online orders placed by February 23 will be delivered to Stillmeadow in mid-March. A parent or guardian MUST pickup orders delivered to Stillmeadow.

This fundraiser supports enrichment programs, field trips, and other resources for our students.

Sign Up to Participate in Multicultural Night
The Second Annual Stillmeadow Multicultural Night is Monday, March 26 at 6 pm. This event is a wonderful way to share your cultural pride with Stillmeadow students, families, and staff.
Last year, more than 200 people turned out for this event that featured food, music, stories and dancing from more than 20 countries!

Stillmeadow Family Day at Bridgeport Sound Tigers Game: Sunday, March 11
Attention sports fans: Enjoy an afternoon of live professional hockey with your friends while supporting Stillmeadow Elementary School!
The PFO is selling tickets to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Game vs. the Springfield Thunderbirds on Sunday, March 11. Game time is 3 pm. Tickets are $20 each. A portion of each ticket will benefit enrichment programs at Stillmeadow.
In addition, the Stillmeadow Chorus under the direction of Mr. David Bodofsky will perform at the game.

The 2017-18 Stillmeadow Elementary School Yearbook is on Sale NOW.
Order by April 16 to reserve your copy. Yearbooks are $20 each.
You MUST pre-order to receive a yearbook in June.
