Celebrate Citizenship this Tuesday Morning!

Citizenship Award Assemblies : Grades 1, 2, 3 at 8:30 am, K, 4, 5 at 9:30 am

Stillmeadow's Citizenship awards are an opportunity to acknowledge our students for upholding the responsibilities outlined in our Stillmeadow Bill of Rights .

Students participate in lessons defining the expectations for each responsibility, what it looks like in the behaviors we practice, and in characters we make connections with through children’s literature during the read aloud time of our literacy block. Sometimes we learn about character traits to model through our social studies content as well.

Assemblies are held monthly to keep the focus alive and to provide multiple opportunities for many of our students to receive this award. You will receive notice from your child's teacher if he/she is receiving an award this month. Parents are encouraged to attend!
MarcUS For Change Spirit Award Ceremony

On October 1st, Stillmeadow teachers and families participated in the MarcUS for Change 5K run/walk at Mill River Park, and won the spirit award for having the highest participation of any Stamford Public School!

The MarcUs for Change Spirit Award Ceremony will take place on Tuesday at 10:30am in the gym, following the Citizenship assembly.

Stamford Public Education Foundation will present Mrs. Asaro with a trophy, and will make a $500 donation to Kristen Stops, representing the PFO.  Aiden Mulcahey will also be recognized as a first place winner for the Boys Age 9 and under category.

If you participated in this event, please wear your MarcUs for Change t-shirt on Tuesday, October 17. We would like you to participate in the Trophy Ceremony.
