What's Happening This Week:

Monday is the first day to enroll in the Stop & Shop A+ School Rewards Program for the 2017-18 school year. Make sure to register your Stop & Shop Bonus Card to support our school.

Tuesday is the first session of the Code with Kids after school program for grades K-5. For course descriptions and registration, click the links below:

Thursday is Open House . Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to attend Open House, as teachers will share important information about grade-level curriculum and classroom policies. Please note the times for each grade level:

5:30 pm: Special Ed Teachers Available
6:00 pm: Kindergarten and Fifth Grade
6:45 pm: First Grade and Third Grade
7:30 pm: Second Grade and Fourth Grade

Are you tired of searching for parking when you visit Stillmeadow?

When you make a Direct Donation to Stillmeadow during Open House, you will be entered into a drawing for a VIP parking spot near the main entrance.

$10 donation = 1 raffle ticket

$50 donation = 6 raffle tickets

100% of your donation will help fund classroom supplies, technology, and enrichment activities at our school.

Direct donations can be made via cash, check (made payable to Stillmeadow PFO), or credit card. A receipt for tax purposes will be provided for donations of $50 or more.

Volunteer Opportunity: Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Stillmeadow in October and we need volunteers to set up and staff this event. Click here to review volunteer opportunities and sign up to help.

Fifth Grade Field Trip Meeting

Mr. Zaremski is hosting a Field Trip meeting for all fifth grade parents on Thursday, September 14 immediately following Fifth Grade Open House. The meeting will begin at approximately 6:45 pm.

Field trips are scheduled as follows:

Thursday, November 9, 2017 : Nature’s Classroom

Thursday, May 31, 2018 : Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway

A Look Ahead to the Week of September 17

Monday, September 18: Last day to place your Fall Mum orders. Get your home ready for Autumn while supporting our school. Download an order form and return it to school with your payment.

Wednesday, September 20: Meadow Farms fundraiser begins.

Thursday, September 21: Stamford Public Schools are CLOSED.

Friday, September 22: Stamford Public Schools are CLOSED.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Mrs. Asaro's most recent Principal's Message to families includes the following information about arrival and dismissal procedures:

Arrival:

Effective Monday, September 11, parents walking children into the school should say goodbye at the main entrance.
All visitors must exit the building by 8:10 am unless attending a meeting or school function.

Dismissal:

To ensure a safe and orderly dismissal, the building will be closed to visitors from 2:15 to 3:00 pm daily.
Parents who do not want to wait in the car line should meet their children at the cafeteria doors.
Anyone exiting their car to pick up their child must utilize a parking spot. Children cannot be picked up in active traffic lanes. If no parking is available at Stillmeadow, you must park at the church next door.
If you are picking up your child in the car line, please follow the rolling line of cars.
