ZIBRIK CONTINUES TO LEAD PDP RACE
Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club's Ashley Zibrik continues to lead the 2014 Professional Development Program points race thru the month of July. Zibrik's appearance at the PGA of BC Assistants' Championship allowed her to maintain a slim lead over Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club's Myles Johnson.

Johnson made a big move in the August standings, thanks to tournament appearances at the PGA of BC Assistants' Championship, PGA of BC Pro-Junior Championship, and Sani Marc Canada Cup in addition to local Callaway Interior PGA Tour events. 

The PGA of BC Professional Development Program recognizes members who show a contribution to the PGA of BC, the golf industry, and to their own continued development. Professionals are awarded points based on participation in events, tournaments, continuing education, and volunteerism.

STRONG SHOWING BY PGA OF BC PROS AT SANI MARC CANADA CUP
Reigning PGA of BC Assistants' champion Oliver Tubb added another impressive win to his resume this past weekend. Tubb, representing Seymour Creek Golf Centre, captured the 2014 Sani Marc Canada Cup by seven shots over defending champion Greg Machtaler
Fellow Seymour Creek professional Bryn Parry rounded out the top three. 
 
The prestigious event was contested July 31 - August 3rd at Club de Golf Victoriavillein Victoriaville, Quebec. Tubb fired four consecutive rounds in the sixties, including a final round 65, for a -23 total and a convincing seven shot victory and cashes the $30,000 first place cheque. 
 
PGA of BC pros have a strong track record at the event - Machtaler won the event in 2013, and Parry is also a past champion. Olympic View Golf Club's Gordy Scutt also recorded a Top-10 finish this year, finishing at -9 in a tie for sixth. For full tournament results and payout - click here.
SPONSOR-MEDIA INVITATIONAL ANOTHER SUCCESS
Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club hosted the annual PGA of BC Sponsor-Media Invitational July 28th, bringing together more than a hundred representatives from the PGA of BC family of sponsors, partners, affiliates and media friends. 

Players were treated to a morning round of golf in a fun format, followed by live music and buffet lunch. All attendees walked away with generous prizing from PGA of BC partners.
