PARTNER SPOTLIGHT - RAMPION ENTERPRISES LTD

Based in Richmond, Rampion distributes brands in the golf, corporate, and action sports markets - the first Canadian distributor to offer such a mix. GALLAGHER'S CANYON TAKES PRO-JUNIOR
Host Professional Peter Hopley captained his team - including his son Matt Hopley, Chris Matte, and Andrew Gorges - to a six shot victory at -23 in the 2014 Jack McLaughlin Memorial PGA of BC Pro-Junior Championship presented by PING. The tournament was contested July 21st at Kelowna's Gallagher's Canyon Golf & Country Club.
 
Myles Johnson's team from Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club, and Shane Pugliese's team from Tower Ranch Golf & Country Club both finished at -17 to share runner-up honours.

2014 PGA OF BC AWARDS NOMINATIONS OPEN
The PGA of BC Awards recognize the leaders in our association across multiple categories - each with a prestigious list of past winners. Several changes have been made to this year's Awards program, including the opportunity for members to vote in the selection process, and the inclusion of Media Professional of the Year. 
 
Professionals are encouraged to nominate candidates who have made outstanding contributions to the game of golf in British Columbia. Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:
  • Golf Professional of the Year
  • Apprentice Professional of the Year
  • Golf Facility of the Year
  • Teacher of the Year
  • Golf Shop of the Year
  • Junior Golf Leader of the Year
  • Sales Representative of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Professional Development Award

ALVIN THOMPSON TO ACCEPT AWARD AT CLUB PRO
Mr. Thompson will accept the PGA of BC Lifetime Achievement Award, an honour awarded to professionals who have shown extraordinary dedication to the golf industry during the course of their careers. For Mr. Thompson's biography on pgabc.org - click here.

The event will take place during the championship reception for the Cleveland Golf/Srixon Canada PGA of BC Club Professional Championship Presented by Club Car, Tuesday September 30th at 7 PM. The event will be hosted by North Vancouver's Seymour Golf & Country Club - attendees are welcome for the dinner component only and can purchase tickets here.
TITLEIST/FOOTJOY PGA OF BC CHAMPIONSHIP & 
PGA OF BC WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP FIELDS FILLING
The 2014 Titleist/FootJoy PGA of BC Championship presented by Axis Insurance Managers will be contested August 25-26 at Point Grey Golf & Country Club in Vancouver, while the 2014 PGA of BC Women's Championship will be contested September 8-9 at Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club in Surrey.

Early registrants will receive two complimentary books of raffle tickets to offset entry fees and travel costs for the events. For each event the field will be limited - entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Don't miss your chance to play in the Association's flagship events - Early Registration closes August 4th for the Championship and August 18th for the Women's Championship. Only a few spots remain!
