2 DAYS LEFT TO REGISTER FOR HARVEST EDUCATION SERIES EVENT 

The Harvest Golf Club will play host to the year's third Education Series event on March 3rd . The popular event will focus on PGA of BC members educating fellow members on a variety of relevant topics surrounding the golf industry. This year's event will feature several unique presentations on an array of topics.
 
Just signed up to present is Tim Kubash, Master Superintendent at Salmon Arm Golf Club, pictured on the right, who will speak about "Improving Superintendent-Golf Professional Relationships" 

Already signed up to present is Jason Kennedy on: The Experience and Opportunities of Change.  Jason is a Leadership and Change Management expert and has seen the words change and customer experience defined numerous ways over the years. With over 15 years as an expert in the fields of Leadership, Change Management, Employee Engagement and Customer Experience, his view is radically different.

2014 PGA OF BC GOLF EVENT REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
PGA of BC Logo Registration is now open for all golf tournaments in the PGA of BC's 2014 Event Calendar.

If you want a guaranteed spot in such prestigious events such as the G&G Golf and Callaway Golf PGA of BC Pro-Assistant Championship at Black Mountain Golf Club or the Titleist/FootJoy PGA of BC Championship Presented By Axis Insurance Managers, click here to go to the Tournament Page and click on the event you wish to register in. Registering early also gets you the Early Bird rate.

We are also happy to report that within minutes of making the event registration page "live", we had several members paying and registering for this year's events. The fields will fill up fast so check your schedules and see which events you want to play.

Riverway Golf Course hosted the 2014 PGA of BC Annual General Meeting on Monday, February 17th. Minutes from that meeting are now available on the Members Only section of the website, under resources.

WELCOME NEW MEMBER BEN GRIFFIN
The PGA of BC would like to welcome Ben Griffin (Uplands Golf Club) as a Candidate for Membership with our Association. Ben's strong play at the 2013 Canadian Mid-Amateur Championship earned him an exemption from the Playing Ability Test.
 
We wish Ben the very best as a Golf Professional and look forward to seeing him at future Association events.

Ben Griffin's application to the PGA of Canada has been accepted and becomes a Candidate for Membership at Uplands Golf Club.

 

Scott Ellen transfers from the Alberta Zone and becomes a Candidate for Membership at Tower Ranch Golf & Country Club.

 

Kate Weir is now a Candidate for Membership at Eaglequest Golf Centre at Coquitlam.

 

Mike Loewen is now Head Professional at Canoe Creek Golf Course (March 1st).

 

Eric Thorsteinson has left the Black Mountain Golf Club.


Carson Wallace has left Eagle Ranch Golf Resort and transfers to the Alberta Zone.

Hyo Sang Yoon is now a Class "A" Professional at The Redwoods Golf Course.


Steve Haggard has resigned from the PGA of Canada.

DID YOU KNOW?

While your annual membership fees for 2015 are not due until November 1st, the PGA of Canada has an option for members to make payment plans throughout the year.

Contact Darcy Kral at the National Office at darcy@pgaofcanada.com to find out how you can set up a pre-payment account in which you deposit money on a regular basis until November 1st.

Alternatively, if you want to pay ahead of time, go to the Members' Only section of the www.pgaofcanada.com website and pay by credit card, noting that the money is for your 2015 dues. You may also mail a cheque to the National Office, noting as payment towards 2015 dues.
