CANUCKS JUNIOR GOLF WEEK KICKS OFF
PGA of BC - Starting July 2nd, PGA of BC golf facilities around the province will host Canucks Junior Golf Week, presented by Odlum Brown Limited.
 
More than thirty facilities will host over three hundred of BC's Minor Hockey players in an attempt to keep them involved in sport during hockey's off-season.

ZIBRIK ADVANCES AT PGA OF CANADA CHAMPIONSHIP
'14 PGA Championship of Canada - Wednesday - Dave Zibrik
Capilano Golf & Country Club's Dave Zibrik defeated Ottawa's Chris Learmonth 7&6 in this morning's second-round match - click the video at left to hear Dave's thoughts on the morning.

The PGA of Canada Championship is a match-play tournament pitting the nation's top 64 players head-to-head over six rounds of exciting competition. This year Uxbridge's Wyndance Golf Club hosts the event - earning strong reviews from the players as a perfect match-play venue.

Of the six PGA of British Columbia members who qualified for the event, Zibrik is the only man still standing after two rounds of competition. For live scoring updates visit the PGA Championship of Canada live scoring website.
PRO-ASSISTANT REGISTRATION CLOSES FRIDAY

 

The province's top Club Professionals and their Assistants will duke it out for the title over two days of team competition in Best Ball & Scramble formats. Last year's event saw Summerland Golf & Country Club's Tyrel Babkirk and Greg Machtaler reach a scorching -20 total to grab the trophy and the $2,250 winners cheque.

 

Cactus Club Kelowna has come on as a Contributing Partner, and will be hosting a get-together for teams on Sunday the 6th at 7PM. They are conveniently located near the Holiday Inn Kelowna - the official Host Hotel.

GOLFATHON FOR ALS CONTINUES

This June marks the 9th year that PGA of BC members have lent their golfing muscles in support of the ALS Society of British Columbia. We are rapidly approaching our season's Golfathon for ALS goal of $1 million raised since the start of the program - a major milestone!

PGA of BC members at 23 golf courses have played more than four thousand holes in support of this season's event , with many more to come before the end of the month.

WELCOME BRYAN ARMSTRONG
The PGA of BC welcomes Bryan Armstrong (Fairmont Hot Springs Resort) as a new Candidate for Membership. Bryan's two-day score of 155 in his PAT at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort secured his status - well done!

Bryan is now eligible to play in local Kootenay Pro Series events, and applicable PGA of BC Championships. 
BUYING SHOW EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE - JUNE 30
Less than a week remains until early registration closes for the 2014 PGA of BC Buying Show, October 15-16th at the Richmond Olympic Oval. 
 
Newly branded the 'Buying Show' (formerly 'Trade Show'), the event represents the largest gathering of PGA of BC members at British Columbia's premier golf merchandise buying show. Over $2 Million in orders were written by the 125+ facilities who attended from across the province in 2013.
 
Early Registration will close at 4pm on Monday June 30th - no extensions will be granted for this deadline. Booth rates will remain affixed from 2013, with 10'x10's starting at only $1,150 for Association Partners & members of the CGIA, and $1,250 for all other exhibitors. The Maple Leaf Junior Tour provides playing opportunities for developing players in British Columbia - including the PGA of British Columbia Junior Championship! The 12th annual MJT ODLUM BROWN CLASSIC - PGA of British Columbia Junior Championship will be contested at Northview Golf & Country Club, Cloverdale, BC, July 16-18, 2014. 

  

PGA of BC members may nominate players who are not MJT members, thereby avoiding joining fees and non-member surcharges for this event. Online registration is available here.
