TARA RODEN CONTINUES TO LEAD PDP

The 2014 PDP Order of Merit standings saw big moves made by Cordova Bay Golf Course's Doug Hastie and Kelowna Golf & Country Club's Rob Anderson, but the leader as of May 1 continues to be Gallagher's Canyon Golf & Country Club's Tara Roden.

Roden entered the month with a 13-point lead over Myles Johnson of Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club, but Johnson was passed by Hastie, who attended CNC classes in Florida during the winter and received credit for that after filling in the online PDP requisition form. Hastie sits at 37 points, only 10 behind Roden and two ahead of Johnson, who now sits third.

Rounding out the top five are Chad Scott of The Harvest Golf Club at 34 points, 13 behind Roden; and Anderson, at 32 points, who took the Golf Canada Rules of Golf seminar in April and also filled out the online PDP requisition form for those points.

The PGA of British Columbia also announced the launch of the Professional Development Program Top 100. Look for the PGA of BC Top 100 Golf Professionals emblem for all members who achieved this honour. In addition, Top 100 members are encouraged to use this brand for all marketing purposes.

FACT OF THE WEEK
DID YOU KNOW?

PGA of BC Members have the option of pre-paying their 2015 Annual Dues.

The two most common ways to do this are to contact Darcy Kral at the National Office, either by email at darcy@pgaofcanada.com or 1.800.782.5764 ext. 224 to set up prepaid invoice OR set up reoccurring online banking payments with bank in increments desired. Payments must be made in full by deadline November 1, 2014 to avoid late penalties. Online banking can be set up at most major Canadian banks and all you have to do is designate the Canadian PGA or PGA of Canada as the payee and reference your account number, which is your PGA of Canada ID number.

If you need more information, please contact Darcy at the National Office or Alfie Lau at the PGA of BC office.
