PARTNER OF THE WEEK
ABOUT TAYLORMADE & ADIDAS GOLF

It all started in 1979 when a 33 year old man, Gary Adams, decided to take out a $24,000 loan on his home and create TaylorMade Golf. With that money Adams leased a building in which three employees (including himself) created a driver cast of stainless steel.

Today, TaylorMade is one of the most successful and well made golf products on the market. Not only do they create and distribute great TaylorMade golf equipment but also Ashworth and adidas clothing and footwear.

TaylorMade & adidas Golf is the Proud Title Sponsor of the PGA of BC Tournament of Champions.
2014 PGA OF BC EDUCATION SCHEDULE ALMOST SET

The PGA of BC is in the process of finalizing the 2014 Education Schedule. The seminars are traditionally held throughout the province to give as many PGA of BC members the opportunity to attend, learn and expand their skills and knowledge base.

Please watch for an announcement in the coming weeks for a full list of available events.

For any members interested in presenting at an upcoming Education Series event, please contact Donald Miyazaki at donald@pgabc.org.

The PGA of BC also welcome any suggestions from members with interesting seminar topics at future events.

A NEW NAME IN THE TOP SIX OF PDP STANDINGS
The fight for the 2013 PGA of BC Professional Development Program (PDP) title has tightened up considerably, as several PGA of BC members complete off season education.

The big moves were made by Olympic View Golf Club's Jeff Palmer, who moves into a tie for 19th after submitting education documents; and Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club's Myles Johnson, who received a total of four education and membership points to vault into sixth place.

Matt Palsenbarg of Northview Golf & Country Club continues to lead, with Gleneagles Golf Course's James Presnail only one point behind.

The total purse of $6,000 includes $2,000 for first place, $1,500 for second and $1,000 for third, all the way down to $250 for sixth place.

The PDP race runs until the end of the year, with the final awards given out in January.

404 of the PGA of BC's 649 current members have registered at least one point in this year's PDP race. To see the full updated PDP standings, please click here
2013 PGA OF BC AWARD WINNER PROFILE STORIES

The Professional Golfers' Association of British Columbia proudly unveiled the recipients of the 2013 PGA of BC Golf Awards earlier this month at a reception held at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond.

With so many winners, we wanted each of them to get a little recognition so we're posting separate stories on each of the winners.

This week, we've posted stories and attached the links on Facility of the Year Chilliwack Golf Club, Sales Representative of the Year Brent Mullin and Jim Gibson Scholarship winner Matt Palsenbarg.

Check back each day to see what new profiles have been uploaded to the www.pgabc.org site.
