Illegal Dump Cleanup Project
Many, many thanks to the Monroe Municipal Waste Management Authority , The Arlington Diner for making lunches for all the volunteers, Pocono Lawn & Landscape who brought equipment to pickup heavy items, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful & PENNDOT for supplying gloves, bags and landfill space. PHLT and Pocono Bike Club ~ Ride for Conservation
(rain date Sunday, May 27th, 2018)
Discover the beauty of the Cherry Valley National Wildlife Refuge on wheels as we cycle along the Cherry Creek getting a close-up view of the nationally significant ecosystems near the Kittatinny Ridge. We will explore the interesting fauna and flora and break for picnic-style lunch at a beautiful nature area. This is a guided adventure and helmets are necessary to ride.

Come howl at the moon and explore our trails after dark! We welcome hikers of all ages and experience levels to enjoy the outdoors and the beautiful Pocono Heritage Land Trust’ Jonas Mountain Nature Preserve.

BIOBLITZ 2018
A 24 hour event

Location: PHLT's Glen Run Nature Preserve
A BioBlitz is designed to be part contest, part festival, part educational event and part scientific endeavor that will bring together scientists and the public, in a race against time to count the species of plants and animals that live on the preserve's 180 acres.
The public is welcome to get involved on Saturday, June 23 from 9am-3pm.

The final species count will be announced at 3pm at

You can help for a few hours or just stop by to learn about the process.
Kids of all ages will be excited to observe and learn about how scientists do their jobs in the lab and in the field.
All activities at the BioBlitz are FREE!
