March 2017 PILI Spotlights

Have you completed the
Pro Bono Survey?

Do so here:

Before March 17th!

We are excited to introduce our 2016 Alumni Network Representatives! PILI appoints one Intern and one Fellow every year from the most recent class to serve on the Alumni Network Leadership Council for a two-year term. We also spotlight a nation-wide program aimed at helping veterans. And our Board Member Spotlight introduces the chair of the 40th Anniversary Awards Gala.

We hope you will take a moment to read about some of the great legal service being done in our community. And don't forget to take the ABA Pro Bono Survey before the extended deadline on March 17th!

Sincerely,

We also invite you to keep up with the latest PILI news on our website or check us out on social media on  Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter!

"It is our duty as future legal professionals to develop a commitment to service early and continue to inspire subsequent generations to do the same."

" As a new lawyer there are so many things I do not know. But this system gives me power, and as I learn, I can use it for good. "

"We want to link the attorneys who want to help with the veterans who need the help. It's an ambitious project, but it's an issue everyone can rally behind."

" Karen and I decided to chair the 40th Anniversary Awards Gala as a means of saying 'thank you' to everyone - the PILI Interns and Fellows, the PILI staff, and the PILI Board - for making PILI such a source of pride in the public interest community. "
