Of course, this time of year - winter show time - we always seem to run in to some sort of challenge that tests our flexibility and creativity. Usually, it has been the weather. This year however, the weather is being quite cooperative, and it is instead a mis-communication between the school district and the studio! (Involving a phone call, a couple bloops of white out, a clerical error...yikes.)
We cannot have technical rehearsal (with the dancers, anyhow - we will still work on the lighting) on Tuesday, Dec. 6th (tomorrow).
Now, if this were the spring show (or last year's winter show), I may be freaking out just a little bit! But, this winter show is much more laid back, and I am confident it will all be just fine!
There is NO TECHNICAL REHEARSAL - Tuesday, December 6th.Most of the classes have very simple entrances and exits, little to no formation changes, and really do not need to get on the stage to have the lighting worked out (no Hillsboro classes were having regular technical rehearsals anyhow). For these classes, dress rehearsal will be enough to prepare the dancers for the performance this weekend!
For some of the classes however, there are entrances and exits, or formation changes that cannot be accomplished without walking through them first. For these classes we will either;
a) have them come to a short tech rehearsal on Wednesday
or
b) tech them quickly between the parent meeting and the start of the dress rehearsal run through on Thursday
This year's winter show is quite short (an hour or so) so starting the run through on Thursday a little late should not be a problem.The following classes will NOT HAVE A TECHNICAL REHEARSAL:

*Tap III - Reindeer Boogie
The following classes will have TECHNICAL REHEARSAL WEDNESDAY, DEC 7th:
*Ballet IV/Pointe - Hallelujah - 3:30pm
*Contemporary I - Christmas Song - 3:45pm
*Contemporary II - Ave Maria - 4:00pm
*Jazz Funk I - Electronic Santa Claus - 4:15pm
*Tap V - Classy Elves - 4:30pm
*Jazz Lyrical II - Silent Night - 4:45pmTICKETS will still be available for purchase Tuesday, December 6th at the studio.
Those of you who volunteered to sell tickets at tech rehearsal, please report to the studio for your ticket selling shift. Parents may still purchase tickets from 3:30-6:30pm on Tuesday, at the studio instead of at the CAL.
