FALL COMMITTEE OFFICER TRAINING AND TRUSTEE MEETING - Register Now!



















Please join us for the 2017 Fall Committee Officer Training and Trustee Meeting to be held October 4-6 at  Mt. Bachelor Village. This is an opportunity to participate you will not want to miss!  

Find out what being an officer of an AWWA committee entails: what are your responsibilities as an officer and what tools are available to you to keep your committee members engaged, informed and excited about your committee! Provide feedback on the new Section Strategic Plan. 

You are responsible for your hotel accommodations and I urge you to make reservations NOW. The hotel must receive your reservations no later than September 13 to receive the discounted rate.  The room rates are $105. This rate does not include tax.  Reservations made after September 13 are subject to availability and rates are not guaranteed.

NEW THIS YEAR -  Arrive Wednesday evening by 5pm for a reception and dinner as we reconnect with our fellow committee leadership. Our Committee Officer Training kicks off Thursday, October 5 at 8am with a breakfast meeting, followed by the Trustee Meeting that same day after lunch.  Friday morning before you head home, join your Trustee Liaison for breakfast as we start to partner with our other committees to streamline training for our membership. 

Committee Officers - Committee Reports are due Friday, September 22.

AWWA'S WATER QUALITY TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE & EXPOSITION is coming to Portland, November 12-16 at the Oregon Convention Center! Registration is now open!

WQTC brings together water professionals from around the world to exchange the latest research, information and technology for improving water quality. Attendees will gain insights into evolving regulatory requirements, advancements in monitoring and treatment, best practices for managing water quality and resources, and much more. Don't miss the opportunity to attend this important event in our own Section. Discover new facets of the water quality field, build professional relationships, and get the information you need to excel.
TRI STATE WATER UTILITY COUNCIL MEETING

This year's Tri State Water Utility Council Meeting is scheduled for November 17 at the SeaTac Embassy Suites in Seattle, WA.

The mission of the WUC's is to further the knowledge of the operation and management of water utilities and to promote public policies, legislation, and regulations which ensure an adequate quantity of high-quality potable water at the lowest economic and environmental cost.

As in past years AWWA Legislative staff from the Washington DC Office will be joining us. The meeting will also cover legislative, legal, and local updates from Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. There is no charge for the event but everyone is asked to register in advance.
