PPL welcomes Tim Whitfield, Collections Manager/Assistant Professor, Brown University Herbarium. The first botanical specimens were donated to Brown University in 1869 by Stephen Thayer Olney, a Providence industrialist and accomplished botanist. More than 100 years later, the Brown University Herbarium contains more than 100,000 plant specimens from New England and around the world.

Join us to learn more about the history of the Herbarium Lab, its collection and mission. We are also organizing a separate tour of the Lab in June !
