Paul Tanaka for Sheriff: Paul Tanaka joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in 1982

and was appointed Undersheriff; the department's second ranking position in 2011. Paul retired after more than 30 years of distinguished service in 2013. Paul began his law enforcement career with the El Segundo Police Department in 1980. The LA County Sheriff's Department needs direction that is clear, consistent, unequivocal and sensible.
