December Talks on Tuesdays Webinar

This webinar will discuss characteristics and behaviors that will help early interventionists identify and support infants and toddlers who have vision and hearing loss. The presenter will describe the National Deaf-Blind Child Count and its importance as well as explain the how to complete the Census.  She will also share information about Virginia's Project for Children and Young Adults with Deaf-Blindness.

M EET THE PRESENTER:  

Ira Padhye
Ira Padhye, M.Ed.
Ira Padhye is the Project Coordinator at the Virginia Project for Children & Young Adults with Deaf-Blindness at the Partnership for People with Disabilities at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Prior to her position as the Project Coordinator, she was a Teacher of the Deafblind in the Deafblind Program at the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA. Outside the classroom, she has presented at educational conferences, workshops, and webinars discussing Literacy and Adapting the Common Core Curriculum. She has her Master's in Education in Severe Special Needs, with a concentration in Deafblindness from Boston College.
