Mr. Stoneburner has over 35 years' experience in upstream oil and gas exploration and production. He was the former Co-Founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of Petrohawk Energy Corporation from 2009 to 2011 and was the President of the North America Shale Production Division for BHP Billiton Petroleum from 2011 to 2012. Prior to co-founding Petrohawk in 2003, Mr. Stoneburner was Vice President of Exploration for 3TEC Energy Corporation and worked for several E&P companies, including Hugoton Energy Corporation, Stoneburner Exploration Inc., Weber Energy Corporation and Texas Oil & Gas Corporation.
Mr. Stoneburner has a Bachelor of Science (Geological Sciences) from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master's of Science (Geology) from Wichita State University and was a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologist's Distinguished Lecturer Series.
