Are you an avid gardener looking for a place to grow food or flowers? The
Vacant Lot Cultivation Pilot Project wants to unearth participants to test a new approach to temporary gardening activities on municipal public utility lots.
Those interested in participating, or simply curious, are encouraged attend the orientation session on March 27. Project team members will be on hand to provide program details, help register new gardeners and answer questions.

Participants and community members will play a vital role in determining whether the project should be established as a permanent program, and what the appropriate roles and responsibilities for the City and gardeners should be.
The pilot is a collaboration between fresh: Edmonton’s Food & Urban Agriculture Strategy and the City’s Real Estate branch.
