The City of Edmonton Development Incentive Program is back. The program is available to property owners with empty or underused sites, or chronically vacant storefronts in Business Improvement Areas (BIA), and encourages owners to invest in higher density development and existing commercial spaces. A variety of grants are available to cover a portion of building or renovation costs. Property owners in Little Italy and Norwood Boulevard may also be eligible for the program.
The Development Incentive Program is one of the ways the City uses expert service, programs and advice to help support economic vitality in key commercial areas. The Development Incentive Program has helped 36 projects since the program began in 2009.

online and contact the Program Manager. The deadline to apply is June 15, 2018.
