Edmonton's Youth Council seeks new youth poet laureate

The City of Edmonton’s Youth Council is now accepting applications for Edmonton’s Youth Poet Laureate! This position invites poets to share their distinct and creative voice to Edmonton for a one-year term.
This opportunity will include performances at public events, writing two original poems and creating a project to engage youth in poetry and civic life.
This position is created and sponsored by the City of Edmonton and the City’s Youth Council. Edmonton has a proud tradition of poets laureate within Canada and continues to be a leader in ensuring that the work of youth poets is celebrated.
