Help shape the future of Edmonton recreation places and spaces
May 23, 2017

Edmonton is changing. Our diverse population is growing and recreation trends are shifting. To respond to these changes, the City is developing a new 20-year Recreation Facility Master Plan to shape the city’s recreation facilities.

To ensure that public recreation spaces and places continue to be accessible, welcoming and responsive to community needs, the City is inviting the public to attend pop-up events to provide feedback to help shape this plan.

More than 3,000 Edmontonians have provided feedback and this is an additional chance to get involved. The Recreation Facility Master Plan will be informed by Edmontonians through the pop-up events, as well as through surveys, stakeholder/partner interviews and discussion groups.

The new plan will build on the success of the 2005-2015 Recreation Facility Master Plan. Over 10 years, the City has made significant investments to improving recreation in Edmonton, giving everyone a place to be fit, a place to relax and a place to find community.
