Keep sidewalks free of snow and ice
November 24, 2017

Recent freeze-thaw weather and freezing rain over the past two days have resulted in hazardous conditions on Edmonton’s walkways and sidewalks.

These treacherous conditions are a safety concern for everyone – particularly for those with limited mobility, waste collectors and other service providers.

The City of Edmonton is reminding property owners to keep sidewalks, walkways and waste collection areas free of ice and snow. Slips and falls are a common cause of waste collector and pedestrian injuries and can be prevented with your help. Please keep our neighbourhoods safe and clear your walks of ice and snow.
