The first outdoor pools open over the Victoria Day long weekend to encourage citizens to take advantage of City facilities and beat the summer heat.
Outdoor pools open for summer on the following dates:
- May 19 - Fred Broadstock and Queen Elizabeth outdoor pools
- June 1 - Mill Creek outdoor pool
- June 9 - Oliver outdoor pool
- June 22 - Borden Natural Swimming Pool
All outdoor swimming pools offer free access for the entire 2018 season.
District spray parks (Callingwood, Castle Downs, G. Edmund Kelly, Glengarry, Jackie Parker Park and Mill Woods, Kinsmen) opened on May 12 and remain open through the summer. Local neighbourhood sites are scheduled to open May 25.
