The story of Noah's Ark and God's rainbow with its promise of a new day of dignity and productivity has never been more relevant. Through Fill the Ark, we will learn how our gifts share God's love and make a real difference! Each week, we will spend some time reflecting on the scriptures and learning about how our ark animals will help impoverished families on their way to self-reliance.
Can you help us Fill the Ark?
Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 to purchase an Ark from
Heifer International. A Gift Ark donation includes two water buffalos, two cows, two sheep and two goats, along with bees, chicks, rabbits and more! All PSR classes from Preschool through 8th Grade are encouraged to participate, and support from the parish is greatly appreciated!
Donating a Gift Ark will help:
- Care for entire communities with milk, eggs, honey and wool
- Provide income by supplying an abundance of goods to sell
- Sustain farming by providing livestock to work the land
- Improve the lives of families for generations by multiplying and passing on the gift
Your Gift Ark donation goes around the world, from Africa to Asia, Europe and the Americas. Wherever we find hunger, poverty and hopelessness, Heifer International answers with the animals, training and encouragement provided by your generous animal gifts.
Bring your quarters to PSR each week, or donate online. To make things really easy, we have set up an
online donation link on the
E-Giving page. Scroll down to the
"Misc. St. Peter Chanel Collections" section and look for
"Heifer - Fill the Ark" to enter your tax-deductible donation. You can follow our progress on the

Twitter pages throughout Lent as we work toward our goal to Fill the Ark.
