PTMBAA Blog - The Fun Fund
During the year we've received several questions about how the PTMBAA uses your $75 student activity fee. Where does it go? Who benefits? How can you maximize the value of your PTMBAA membership?

In this month's blog entry, Luis Arias, PTMBAA VP of Finance steps up to the plate to answer these questions -- and more .

2016-2017 PTMBAA Board Elections
Elections for the 2016-2017 PTMBAA Board are around the corner - and we're seeking motivated candidates to apply!

But why should you run? Here's what the current board has found most rewarding from their experience:

As a member of the board, I had the privilege to work with a great group of dedicated and motivated individuals with the same common goal - to improve the PT MBA program. The experience gained as President has been educational and rewarding.
                                                                        - Jose Vides, President

Serving as the VP of Special Events has been rewarding as I focused on making every campus feel a part of the SMITH Part-Time MBA experience as opposed to being identified by campus.  Putting together exciting events where students had an opportunity to extend their network by mingling with full-time, part-time, E-MBA, and Alumni was well worth all the hard work.
                                               - Tanasha Dalton, VP of Special Events

This year we've added in person Q&A sessions at each campus so that you can ask current board members anything and everything related their roles and overall experience. (Online option to attend to be confirmed.)

PTMBAA February Toy Drive
The PTMBAA is partnering with part-time student Maurice Nick to collect toys to deliver to 200 families in the Dominican Republic.  Maurice is working with House of Prayer on its second trip to the Dominican Republic.  They have already collected clothing and food for 200 families on the island.

We will be collecting new and gently used toys at all the campuses in a cohort-based competition-style drive. We will announce the winning cohort at Monte Carlo Night and award them with an additional $150 for their spring semester bank account.  Let the games begin!
